The squad which will travel to Sotogrande, Spain, for the tournament between March 30 and April 2 includes Laurie Canter of Saltford GC, Tom Lewis taylormade burner 2.0 irons of Welwyn Garden City GC, Jack Senior of Heysham GC and Nuneaton GC’s Andrew Sullivan.
Canter won the Spanish Amateur Championship last week, having triumphed in the South African Amateur and the West of England Stroke Play last year. All four honed callaway x-24 hot irons their games on the highly-successful New Year sortie to Australia which secured three championships during the five-week trip.
Although Lewis 20, has yet to collect a title in 2011, he starred in two professional events in Australia in December, winning the silver medal as leading titleist 710 cb amateur in the New South Wales Open, in which he lost a playoff for the title, and the Australian Open.
